Not a thoroughbred sports car, but rather a sporty elegant touring and utility vehicle: the 190 SL, which was presented as a roadster in its final design at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1955, was stylistically closely orientated around the 300 SL racing coupe and, with a 1.9 l four-cylinder unit with overhead camshaft, newly developed at the time, promised attractive performance on the road. How popular and successful the 190 SL really was, could be seen not least in the production figures: between May 1955 and February 1963, 25,881 units of the touring sports car were built in Sindelfingen, a large part of which were destined for the US market.
As a miniature model, the 190 SL now enriches every personal collection and inspires with its great attention to detail. As a result, the model car is not only finished in the authentic paintwork colour, but also features an accurately detailed interior. The doors, bonnet and boot lid of the vehicle open, allowing closer inspection of its interior. The precision model comes with a soft top. It comes with a screwdriver in order to easily release the model from the packaging. The delivery package also includes a glove to prevent fingerprints on the windows or paintwork.
